Nissan Makes Checking Tire Pressure Easy

The latest Nissan technology not only has a home inside the vehicle, but also under the vehicle. Yes you heard that right.. It's underneath 2013's Nissan Altima - as sensors in its wheels can warn of low tire pressure and insist in perfect refills.

First, the regular specs: 2013 Altima comes with either a redesigned 2.5-liter four-cylinder, producing 182 horsepower, or 3.5-liter V6 producing 270-horsepower. Both engines are attached to a continuously variable transmission. The fifth generation Altima is rated at 38 mpg highway.

Ok, now on to the new tire tech: Nissan's tire-pressure warning system alerts of low air by displaying pressure and the relevant tire(s) on your dashboard. As you fill up, the car's flashers come on to confirm that air is indeed pumping. When you have achieved the perfect pump for your tire, the horn will sound alerting you its time to stop. Now that's handy.

Gurley Leep Nissan can't get enough of all the goodies that come standard in updated Altima variants. The 2013 Nissan Altima goes on sale later this summer.
