Gurley Leep Nissan Reviews the Announcement of the Telematics Partnership With SiriusXM

Technology is evolving on a daily basis. And, it is by no surprise to us that cars we depend on every day like Nissan are getting stronger and more innovative. Automakers like Nissan make sure that you have the latest communication technologies when behind the wheel. This is exactly what first caused Nissan to partner with SiriusXM almost a decade ago now, and it's what has led the two companies to renew that partnership on a whole new level.

These days drivers are looking for more than scenery and music when they get behind the wheel for a few hours. Thanks to the invention of the Smartphone, a new age of connecting with people has quickly become hard to live without on a day to day basis. Because of this, it is no surprise that Nissan is now planning to utilize its long-time partnership with SiriusXM to usher in a new age of in-car telematics.

It's a new age of telematics that such a service has never been offered using both satellite and cellular networks. By partnering with SiriusXM, though, that's precisely what Nissan will be able to provide.

"Being the first car company to launch these telematics services allows us to further enhance the whole customer driving experience by providing the finest audio entertainment and data services that meet the growing expectations of the connected driver," explains Trisha Jung, Director, Nissan Connected Services. "After working with SiriusXM for more than a decade, we are excited about bringing world-class telematics services to our customers."1
